


Our creative founder
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Michael Strickland began his acting career with theatre at the age of 7 in school plays.
He spent 6 years living in Vancouver, where he graduated from the Vancouver Film School in 2014 with honours.
He then became an instructor for Arts Umbrella in South Surrey, where for 5 years, he taught Acting for the Camera, The Art of Acting, Theatre Works, Creative Drama, and Musical Theatre. With his friend and colleague, Paneet Singh, they managed to completely revamp the theatre and film department and made it one of the most sought-after film programs in the history of Arts Umbrella - South Surrey's location.
He has trained with numerous casting executives and directors including Jane Jenkins, Deborah Aquila, and Seth Yanklewitz, as well as coaches Andrew McIlroy, Bart Anderson, Matthew Lillard, and Lesly Kahn. He has spent the past few years specializing in techniques from theatre practitioners such as Adler, Meisner, Stanislavski, Chekov and Spolin. He returned to Winnipeg in 2019 to bring a fresh new approach to the arts community that will push actors to go deeper and farther in their work.
Michael has had the privilege of working on projects alongside many actors, including Amy Teegarden, Michael Radi, Andy Sirkas, Niall Matter, Jillian Murray, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Lea Thompson, Stacey Farber, and Michelle Monaghan. Some of his most recent acting credits include Mike in Hallmark's "Holiday Hotline", Rory in Hallmark's "A Lifelong Love", Terrance in Lifetime's "The Hillsdale Adoption Scam", David in Great American Family's "A Brush With Christmas", Dustin (the pilot) in the CTV Comedy series, "Acting Good", El Matador in the animated series "Supa Strikers: Rookie Season", and seven voice characters in the "Warhammer: Chaosgate Daemon hunters" game including the main villain, Mortarion.
