Acting Foundations - (Ages 13-17)

Getting the acting bug? Wanting to audition for movies or stage plays? Thinking of taking acting more seriously? Learn all the foundations for how to become a dynamic, confident actor whether it be on stage or on screen in this 6 week course for teens. This will be a widely varied class that will teach you the most important tools in an actor’s toolbox and provide you with a rich, inspiring take on “how to be an actor.” These six weeks will include a variety of hands on work including improvisation exercises and scene work from both film and theatre scripts. Not only will you learn the most important skills of becoming an actor, but you’ll have the chance to take on different characters, act in real scenes, AND… have a lot of fun, too. DATES / TIMES: Sundays | May 12 - June 23 | 12:30-2:30 p.m. (No class June 2) LOCATION: Winakwa Community Centre - MPR #2 COST: $294.00 Including GST Payment options: E-Transfer (info@thewinnipegactorsacademy.com). ***Payment Plans available upon request.*** WITHDRAWAL POLICY: Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance of the class start date will receive a 100% refund of the session fee. Cancellations made within a week to the class start date will incur a $100 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given once the class session has started. SUBSTITUTION POLICY: As Cora is a working actor, a qualified substitute will be assigned to the class in the event that she is booked for a role that causes her to be unavailable. You will be advised if such an event occurs ahead of time. MISSED CLASSES We have a policy that classes are non-transferable and we have an expectation that it is the actor's responsibility to attend all classes for which they have registered. Any accommodation of a student's schedule is at the discretion of the instructor.
