Service Description

This workshop isn’t just about throwing punches for the camera; it’s about learning to tell stories through movement. The Hong Kong way. Real skill. Real rhythm. Real action. No camera cheats, no quick cuts, just pure cinematic storytelling through physical dialogue. The 2 day intensive ends with a performance demonstration video recording that will be used for your submission for camp shortlisting as well as for your own use. Select participants may be nominated for: +The JCST Action Film Camp with the Jackie Chan Stunt Team in Beijing +The Japan Action Film Camp with top action directors in Yokohama Both happen in Summer 2026! These camps open doors to the international action film industry and training with some of the best in the business. Philip Sahagun Head Coach at K-STAR Academy & Co-Organizer of the JCST Camp mentioned: “This workshop provides essential, foundational skills to succeed in the audition process and on screen and may even serve as a stepping stone to international action film camps in China and Japan.” About the instructor: Taz “Tazito” is an international award-winning actor, director, educator, best-selling author, martial arts champion, and film school board advisor from Toronto. He’s shared the screen with global icons like Jackie Chan, John Cena, and Sylvester Stallone, and most recently went head-to-head with Alan Ritchson in Amazon Prime’s #1 series Reacher. Beyond the spotlight, Taz is a passionate mentor and industry advocate, dedicated to helping the next generation of performers and creators rise, both on screen and beyond. No formal fight training is required to join Zero to Hero: Action Workshop. It’s designed for performers with a range of experience levels, from newcomers to those with some movement or performance background. Cancellation Policy

1. General Policy At The Winnipeg Actors Academy, we value professionalism, respect, and accountability. Our classes, workshops, and private coaching sessions are structured around limited group sizes and personalized instruction. To maintain this quality, we require advance notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. 2. Cancellations More than 48 hours’ notice: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled class or session will receive a full credit toward a future class or session. (Refunds may be issued at the Academy’s discretion.) Less than 48 hours’ notice: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled time will result in a loss of that session or class fee. No refunds or credits will be given. No-shows: Failure to attend a class, workshop, or private session without notice will be treated as a forfeited session with no credit or refund. 3. Rescheduling Private Coaching: You may reschedule a private coaching session up to 48 hours in advance at no charge. Rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the session being forfeited. Workshops & Classes: Due to limited enrollment, we cannot guarantee rescheduling for missed group classes or workshops. However, if space allows, we will do our best to accommodate you in a future session. 4. Academy Cancellations If The Winnipeg Actors Academy must cancel or postpone a class, workshop, or session due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., instructor illness, weather, venue issues): - You will be notified as soon as possible. - A make-up class will be scheduled. 5. Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver 5.1 Assumption of Risk Participation in acting classes and workshops may involve physical activity, including but not limited to movement exercises, stage combat, and improvisation. By registering for a Program, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation. 5.2 Waiver and Release of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless The Winnipeg Actors Academy, its owners, officers, employees, instructors, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to your participation in any Program. 6. Agreement By enrolling in any program, workshop, or private coaching session at The Winnipeg Actors Academy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy.
